Another strong showing for Szalay Balázs and László Bunkoczi in their Opel saw them finish second on today’s stage to overall leader Jean Loius Schlesser. Their finishing time of 1 hour 48 minutes and 21 seconds was 6 minutes behind Schlesser meaning they remain 6th overall. Their next target Kanat Shagirov in his H3 Hummer is now 7 minutes closer in 5th place.

Tomorow sees a well earned restday for the driver but no doubt, as team principal, Szalay will be fully occupied working on the car in preparation for stage 6 in Mauritania.
